Each year this association unveils a new theme for the coming year, with a different graphic universe, and "Constellations" that function like the houses of Harry Potter. For the 2024 season I created 4 illustrations to illustrate these Constellations, each inspired by a fantastic animal.

The theme :
For the 2024 Season, the chosen theme was "The Cryptids" , these are legendary creatures or animals, from tales or urban beliefs.
To create 3 different houses from this concept I looked for cryptids that wouldn't have been seen too much in other popular works of fiction, and ended up focusing on the Jackalope, the Vermilion Bird, and the Zaratan, all three from very different legends.
The shape :
The association wanted to make pins from the illustrations. So I thought of the shape of the drawings on a common basis , which lends itself well to a badge to wear on clothing, a bit like a coat of arms.
I designed a shape that evokes both a door that would open onto each "Constellation", and stained glass windows to accompany the idea of legendary animals, it is this last idea that mainly guided the overall aesthetic of the illustrations of this project.
